Current regulatory status
Banqa is not currently independently authorised as an account information service provider (AISP), payment initiation service provider (PISP), payment institution or bank.
Banqa provides budgeting, expense tracking and financial-information tools. It does not hold customer funds, execute payments, initiate transfers or provide investment management. Before live bank connections are activated, the regulated provider model and all disclosures will be confirmed contractually.
Bank connections
Banqa intends to offer read-only account information through finAPI using finAPI’s regulated PSD2 licence and Web Form for unlicensed customers. Users will be informed before leaving Banqa for the regulated bank-authentication flow and will be shown the applicable provider identity, privacy information and terms.
- Bank connections are read-only Account Information Services (AIS).
- Banqa does not offer Payment Initiation Services (PIS).
- Availability and refresh frequency depend on the user’s bank, consent and the regulated provider.
- Users can withdraw consent and disconnect a bank connection.
This section must be updated if the contracted provider, licence model or allocation of data-protection roles changes.
If Banqa becomes independently authorised
Before Banqa operates under its own AISP or payment-institution authorisation, this notice will identify the competent authority, public register, authorisation number, permitted services, complaints body and professional indemnity insurance or comparable guarantee.
For an Italian authorisation, the expected competent authority would be Banca d’Italia. No registration or authorisation number is claimed today.
