1. Who you contract with
The service is operated by Banqa Labs S.r.l. — PLACEHOLDER, Via Dante 12, 20121 Milan (MI), Italy — PLACEHOLDER. Registration and VAT details are in the Legal Notice. Support and legal notices may be sent to support@banqa.app.
By creating an account or using Banqa, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What Banqa provides
Banqa is a personal budgeting and expense-information service. Depending on the platform and plan, it can support manual entries, Android notification-derived expenses, main and category budgets, savings goals, AI-generated coaching and read-only transaction imports.
- Banqa Free: all currently available features except bank connections.
- Banqa Connected: the Free features plus supported read-only bank connections and automatic account-information imports.
- No payments: Banqa does not initiate transfers, withdrawals or card payments and does not hold customer funds.
Features marked “coming soon,” including photo-based affordability checks, are not part of the current service and may change before release.
3. Eligibility and account security
You must be at least 18, have legal capacity to enter a contract and provide accurate information. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials, device access and recovery methods and for notifying Banqa promptly about suspected unauthorised access.
You may use Banqa only for your own lawful financial information unless Banqa expressly authorises another arrangement. Do not probe the service, bypass access controls, automate abusive requests, upload malicious material, impersonate another person or use data you are not entitled to access.
4. Plans, trial and billing
Free: €0 with no fixed end date.
Connected: a 15-day trial followed by €9 per month, charged through the payment method and store or web channel shown at checkout.
The Connected trial begins when you activate it, whether or not you connect a bank immediately. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription renews monthly. The checkout screen must show the total price, taxes where applicable, renewal timing and cancellation method before you confirm payment.
Banqa may change future prices or the contents of a plan with reasonable advance notice. A price increase does not apply retroactively to a period already paid. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before the next renewal.
5. Read-only bank connections
Banqa is not currently independently authorised as an AISP or payment institution. The intended production model uses finAPI’s PSD2 licence and Web Form for regulated bank authentication and account-information access.
Before connection, you will be told which regulated provider is involved and shown its applicable notices. You authorise access in the provider or bank flow—not by sending bank credentials to Banqa support.
Connection availability, account coverage, history, refresh frequency and transaction timing depend on the bank, country, provider and active consent. A bank or provider may require renewed authentication or suspend access. Banqa cannot guarantee continuous or real-time data from every bank.
You must review imported data before relying on it. Report missing or inaccurate transactions through Support. Disconnecting prevents future retrieval but previously imported data remains until you delete it.
6. Android notification tracking
The Android feature is optional and requires explicit operating-system permission. It attempts to recognise supported bank and merchant notifications and may make mistakes. Review each detected entry. The feature is not available on iOS because iOS does not provide equivalent notification access.
7. AI coaching is not professional advice
Banqa may generate budgets, summaries, warnings, affordability opinions and coaching language from your information. Output can be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate. It is educational and organisational information—not financial, investment, credit, tax, accounting or legal advice.
Banqa does not guarantee that you will save money, increase wealth or reach a goal. “Grow your money” describes the aim of helping users retain more through budgeting and behaviour change; it is not a promise of investment return.
You choose the coach’s tone. Aggressive or profane modes are optional. They are not intended for emergencies or mental-health support and should be changed or disabled if they are unhelpful.
8. Availability, changes and ownership
Banqa may maintain, update, suspend or discontinue features for security, regulatory, provider or technical reasons. Planned maintenance and material changes will be communicated where practical. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.
Banqa’s software, branding and original content remain the property of the operator or its licensors. You retain rights in data and content you provide and grant Banqa only the permission needed to operate, secure and improve the service under the Privacy Policy.
9. Cancellation, withdrawal and termination
You may cancel Connected at any time through the purchase channel. Cancellation stops the next renewal; Connected remains available until the end of the paid period unless the checkout or store rules state otherwise. When Connected ends, bank access is disconnected and Banqa Free continues.
Where EU or national consumer law gives you a 14-day right of withdrawal, you may exercise it by emailing support@banqa.app with your account email and a clear statement that you withdraw. The 15-day free trial is intended to allow cancellation before any subscription charge. Any mandatory refund right remains unaffected.
You may delete the entire account using the Data Deletion process. Banqa may suspend an account where reasonably necessary for security, abuse, legal compliance or a serious breach, with notice and an opportunity to respond where appropriate.
10. Responsibility and liability
Banqa will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer protections.
To the extent permitted by law, Banqa is not responsible for losses caused solely by inaccurate information supplied by you, a bank or third-party provider; unsupported devices or banks; failure to protect your credentials; or events outside reasonable control. Any additional limitation for paid services must be reviewed against the consumer law of the user’s country before launch.
11. Support, complaints and law
Send service questions and formal complaints to support@banqa.app. Include the account email, what happened, relevant dates and the outcome you want. The detailed process is on the Support page.
Until Banqa holds its own payment-services authorisation, regulated bank-access complaints may also need to be handled by the contracted AISP shown during connection. If Banqa becomes authorised in Italy, the terms will be updated with Banca d’Italia registration and the applicable ADR body, expected to include the Arbitro Bancario Finanziario where legally applicable.
These terms are governed by Italian law — PLACEHOLDER. If you are an EU/EEA consumer, mandatory protections and competent courts in your country remain available.
